WordPress Guide

I am very excited today because I have just come across a WordPress guide that quite blew me away, it is so fantastic! It is called WordPress Classroom 2.o. I absolutely wanted to see what it is all about, because I love WordPress and building blogs and websites with it, I think it’s the coolest blogging (and website) platform out there. So I signed up and got hooked!

I remember what a hard time I had when I wanted to learn the “How to” of WordPress, and all the associated options with it. There is a lot to learn, and it is just so much easier if you have a good WordPress guide that shows you how to do it. And that’s exactly what WordPress Classroom 2.o does. A pretty well known guy (in the Internet Marketing world, anyway 😉 named Matthew Wolfe created it, and the best part is it is all VIDEOS!!! – I personally learn a lot better if I can follow a video rather than just writing! His WordPress Classroom 2.o is packed with clever videos doing the “show all” and “tell all” of WordPress. You will really be a pro after going through all his stuff!

Matthew is just such a nice guy, because he created these really cool instructional videos in his WordPress guide that teach you how to set up your own blogging business and now he is giving them away for free!! There are something like 15 videos that walk you through the whole thing step by step.

I only had to look at 2 of his free videos and already learned something really cool I had no idea about – it’s about hiding affiliate links (if you click on that, you will get to my “old” post about hiding affiliate links; that’s the hard way of doing it). Matthew has shown me something so simple in his tutorials, it’s crazy. No more stuffing around with .php files and FTP! — I won’t tell you what it is, that would somewhat spoil it for you 😉 .

If you have followed me for a while, you should know that I never recommend anything if I am not convinced it’s really good. After all, I have been burnt so many times, and I don’t want anybody else to go through what I did.

So, trust me,  if you need a WordPress guide and are really are serious about making money with WordPress blogs and websites, then head over to WordPress Classroom 2.0 and grab the free videos before Matthew decides to pull them down! 😮

  1. That sounds like a really good program for me. I’m new to wordpress and am not really sure how to implement plugins and stuff. Thanks for the tip – it’s good to get info from someone who has actually used the product!

    1. So far I have not seen any video about creating a template – but that’s not really what WordPress is about. WordPress offers so many free (and paid) templates there should be some for everybodys needs. And what is the “WordPress loop”? I have never heard of that.

  2. This is really helpful for beginners. I have seen some of his videos and already learned few things. The videos are easy to follow. The video of getting traffic and gaining credibility was very much needed. i have finished watching basics videos and will now start with the intermediate ones.

    1. Yeah, it definitely helps to have a thorough guide rather than trying to learn everything yourself. When the web makes information sharing so easy, there is no need to go through all the same beginner mistakes as everyone else. You might as well learn from people who have the experience.

  3. I agree that this sounds perfect for anyone who wants to get serious about blogging. WordPress is by far the best blogging platform. So it is a good idea to learn all the ins and outs to get the most of it.

  4. Thanks a lot Petra. I’m learning to work with WordPress these days and it will definitely help me a lot. I’m collecting more and more information from internet. Plz tell me if WordPress Classroom 2.o has great information. I will definitely buy it.

    1. Hmm, if you mean me with “you lot” then I have to tell you that I don’t have the time to do everything that is needed to make money, – that’s why there is now only a blog post every month or so, and my income only increases by minimal amounts 🙁 No matter how much you know about making money on the Internet, if you don’t have time to put into it, the income will stay on a Hobby level for quite a long time, too. That doesn’t phase me though, I think eventually I will reach higher levels if I continue to work little by little at it, in the small amount of time that I have. That’s the good thing about Internet Marketing – your little efforts can grow bigger over time, and whatever you do on the Net will stay there and work for you for years to come.

    1. Zack, I have been “doing” WordPress for 2 years in my spare time here and there, and I am quite confident with it, but WP Classroom has got a few things already in the free videos that have helped me along, and there are more goodies in the paid version (which is only $9.95/month by the way!)

  6. I use WordPress for blogging. WordPress is easy to learn and inserting html or css codes is no hassle unlike other blog sites. I do hope I could learn a lot from this WordPress Classroom 2.0. Thanks for sharing!

    1. I’m sure it will help. There is always something new to learn. It’s one thing to know how to setup a blog and it’s another to know how to really optimize a blog.

  7. The drag and drop navigation UI and the easy background setup are 2 new features that take WordPress to a new level of user friendliness and ease of use. The menus setup addition is the final word that WP is a lot more than just a blogging platform, and can be used to build most of the websites out there.
Terrific post, I’ve been waiting for a comprehensive professional overview of new WP 3.0 features for some time now, and this was definitely a clear and interesting read.

  8. What I’m interested is that do the videos teach new tricks? I’ve also been blogging using WP for a few years now. There are a lot of things I don’t know yet, but the basics I have pretty much covered it. Something new and advanced would certainly be nice. Are there previews?

I’ve been using wordpress for a while myself and love it. I’ve now got a few of my friends and family who also want to learn how to use it but I just haven’t got time to show them.

    1. Jake, the more you learn the more you will understand, and the easier it will get. You will just have to try and not do everything that’s out there, as tempting as it is. It’s the death of every Affiliate Marketer. Concentrate on one or two things and stick with them. Like, I have decided to earn money from building niche websites. No PPC, or List building etc. One thing, and stick with it.

  14. I have confident in you when you said that you recommend only the best, since I’m using wordpress classroom 2.0 for the first time…I’m new to a few little gem videos it’s so alien to me…but in totality it is awesome!

  15. I’m not newbie in wordpress but this seems to be one hell of a guide.I learned myself using some books and video tutorials on youtube and it costs me a lot of time and money, but if i know about this guide maybe it would be much easier for me to learn.

    1. Larry, I am sure it would be! And you know what – for less than $10 a month I think it’s really worth it!

  16. I am totally with you that WordPress is the best Blogging Platform out there…But I will have to say that for building other kind of Websites I do prefer Joomla…:)…Definitely these two platforms are great to learn and have them inside your wing… For me both are easy to learn and understand, but remember that anything new to anyone will be hard or at least not easy and that does not matter if you are a Phd or you have a Master degree…Anyway, I will check out those videos and see what else I can learn from WP….Thanks for the post Petra….

  17. I have a blog on blogspot right now, but have been mulling over becoming a ‘grown-up’ in the blogging world and moving to Word Press. I am glad I came upon this post, Word Press is so very intimidating.

  18. Definitely, I share your enthusiasm on WordPress and the overwhelming but exciting learning curve to absorb and apply all the “how-to’s” for building and developing successful blogs.

Videos are the best way to learn for most people as it offers live instructions as if you had the internet teacher besides you for real giving you the right guidance.

Have been using WP platform for two years and I plan to stick with it and get more educated with new resources like the one you present here.

    Thanks!

  19. The power of WordPress as a blogging platform is it’s plugins. There are so many of them. And many of them are free to use. You can save a ton of time, money and heart ache. Thanks for the post.

  20. Is it really for free? No catches or spyware of such like? I use wordpress all the time and this looks like it would be really great for me. Going to have a look and then let you have some feedback on the videos.

  22. Thanks for the post Petra, video training is definitely a lot easier and makes the most of technology. I think WordPress and Joomla are two amazing platforms to build sites in, but WordPress wins hands down for blogging-based sites.

  23. Wow, thanks for this article. I have just started working with WordPress and I am really thankful for every tutorial I get. I will have a closer look at this service.

  24. WordPress for websites is becoming more sophisticated since it is easy and simple with adaptive feature.. Mostly blogging websites are loving wordpress to acquire attractive site plugins..

  25. I so much like WordPress because of a lot of reasons. But each time it updates, which is too frequent, I find out that it’s not compatible with some of the third-party plugins I’ve been using. Besides that, WP is literally great! I’ll give the WordPress Classroom 2.0 a try.

  26. Great weblog here! Also your web site loads up very fast! What host are you using? Can I get your affiliate hyperlink for your host? I wish my site loaded up as fast as yours lol

    1. I am using D9 Hosting, you will find the link in the sidebar of my blog. I am super happy with them. Just recently I did something stupid with one of my sites and kind of lost the lot, and I emailed them and within 1 1/2 hours my site was back up and running and the problem solved. I have never had to wait more than a few hours for a reply to my queries, they are fabulous.
