For My Readers – I’ve Installed DoFollow And CommentLuv!

We Do Follow!
We Do Follow!

Last night I was going through the new comments made on this blog and found one on my post about getting backlinks to your site or blog – commentluv and keywordluv, and whilst that person was happy with the information I was providing, they pointed out that my comments are nofollow!ย  Well, shame on me, I know, here I am telling everybody about getting backlinks to your site or blog by commenting on the “right” blogs, and I myself haven’t installed any of these plugins!

That was it. I decided there and then to sit down today – even if its already again 11:18pm right now, and I should be fast asleep already ๐Ÿ˜‰ –ย  and do what I had in mind to do so long ago – get those plugins installed and activated!

So here we are, it’s finally done, all your comments will be dofollow from now on, and you’ll get some “commentluv” from me, too. – I’m too tired to do keywordluv now, but I promise it will be done in the next few days, deal?

So, please, go wild, do comment, and it will be a better deal for all of us.

    1. Thanks! I am already thinking, what is going on here, no comments, nothing…. people might not value it as much as I thought? But I am thrilled that you left me a comment on this, and I will head straight over to your blog and check it out!

    1. Hi Jack, I really liked the theme too when I first saw it, but it came with rotating header images. I didn’t like the other images so got rid of them. I am looking into creating another header graphic to go with the one I have already.

  1. Thanks for your kindness of sharing the backlink back to your commenter. Many bloggers did the opposite way. They quit the keywordluv and commentluv. They accused that they’re just tired with useless comments trying the get the backlinks.

    You’re so different.

    1. Thanks, Dokruk! I just do what I think is right, and what I would like many more others to do for the good of all of us ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Well, so far it doesn’t seem to have had a lot of impact at all, unfortunately! I think I might have to announce it in a few more places….

  2. Hey Petra,

I’m bouncing from blog to blog today and now I’ve landed here. I see you have started Alex Jeffreys coaching program. Well, we have something in common. I was in his first coaching program. It’s quite a ride.

What caught my eye was this post about DoFollow. I installed it on my blog quite awhile ago. I think it’s only fair if someone’s contributing good valuable content to my site with comments then I should give them some link juice for it.

I heard all this stuff about getting tons of spam because people will seek out your blog because of the lack of the NoFollow attribute. But I haven’t noticed any increase in spam.

    How about you?

I haven’t installed CommentLuv but I know I looked into it a long time ago. I can’t remember why I didn’t do it. I’ll have to look into it again.

Good Luck with the coaching. Alex is great.

    1. @Jeff, I have noticed a few more comments that do not make much sense, Akismet does not seem to see them as spam but sometimes they are not related to the post they are made for, so if I get notification of a comment I check it out and then decide what I do with it. I have chosen to manually approve all comments on my blog, of course.

  3. Hi Petra, I’ve been considering changing to “do-follow” myself. I guess I’ve been a little apprehensive up till now. Thanks for the encouragement ๐Ÿ™‚
