How To Increase Website Traffic – Submit Articles!

September 19, 2008 | By | 2 Replies More

Just a quick note today as I have again – as usual – worked right into the middle of the night. I am tired and need to go to bed.

Anyway, I did create my first website in February, My Beach Decor, and, to be successful, what my website needs the most is traffic. Traffic is the lifeblood of every site on the net. Without traffic, you have no visitors, and therefore no sales. The more traffic your site has, the more likely are you to generate income. But how do you increase website traffic?

Well, one way is to write Articles and submit them to different Article directories. People read articles and click on the links to your website (hopefully you did place some links in the article!) – Bingo! A visitor. I personally have only used Ezine Articles so far and I am very happy with the results.

So today, to get more traffic to my site, I wrote an article about decorating with Hawaii wallpaper. I did notice that most visitors to my site went to Hawaiian Home Decor, so I thought that it was quite popular for starters. I then did my keyword research, and “Hawaii wallpaper” had quite a lot of searches, but not many competing sites, so my article should be able to rank quite well in the search engines (or so I hope).

Good night!

Articles are a pretty good way to get backlinks from high PR sites. The only thing I don’t like is that the content I use in my article I often publish on my site. So that means I have to compete against those article sites for my own content! I’m probably doing it wrong, but I think you get some of the idea of what I mean. =/

That’s the problem we all face – our articles and our site content should be different from each other. That means that ultimately we have to write more!
