Join Us At The Work At Home Weekend!

August 30, 2012 | By | 16 Replies More

Just today I got an email in my inbox from a fellow “WAHM” (= Work At Home Mum”) named Allie which made me perk up and check it out.

Allie is a WAHM who has started on the same journey I have been on for the past few years – learning how to work from home on the Internet. I find her blog Ramblings of a WAHM very interesting and entertaining, and I urge you to check it out.

Work at Home Weekend

Anyway, she made a new post, and since I am a good blogger I have subscribed to her posts ๐Ÿ™‚ and therefore got her invitation to join her and others on the Work at Home Weekend, this yearโ€™s biggest networking event for Work at Home Blogs and their communities!

This is your chance to discover some of the best work at home and home business blogs around.

Who: Work at Home Bloggers and those interested in working from home

What: Discovering, networking and supporting

When: September 7 โ€“ 10, 2012

Where: Right HERE (click to register)

Why:

  • Because those looking for work at home opportunities often donโ€™t know where to start or who to trust. This may be a short-term networking event, but the site will remain live year-round.
  • Because sometimes we get so comfortable within our social network that we forget our community is always changing. This is a great opportunity to connect with new people and/or reconnect with those you lost track of along the way.

How Can You Participate:

If you are looking for information about work at home opportunities or home business information, just show up September 7 or anytime thereafter and start discovering new blogs.

I think this is a great idea for new and seasoned bloggers alike. For someone like me who has lost the drive a little it might just mean that I will get the inspiration and drive back that I need to keep going strong!

Anyway, it sounds like a great opportunity to meet other work at homers and socialize a little while gaining new insights and ideas for your online business(es). So join me, Allie and Angie (the organizer) on a nice weekend of blog socializing!

I am chiropractor I spend most of my time treating my patients and has less time reading and learned more so I don’t know a thing about this but I really want to learn and probably imply this somehow. I don’t know how long it will take me but it’s worth giving it a start today. Thanks for the great read I experience on this post.

I do work at home as freelancer for 5+ years now, and it has been a great experience! Daytime job wouldn’t allow me to do a lot of things I am able to do now.

I’m so sad I didn’t see this until now. Great initiative to get people in the blogosphere to communicate, and learn new stuff. Will you do something similar again you think? I use blog carneval where you get people together, and share valueable information. Check it out if you haven’t.

I am an electrical engineer. The last few years I felt attracted to the world of internet marketing. It was great fun if it could work at home while playing with the kids and my wife. I am currently studying towards it. If successful in this maybe I will make it work.

Hi Katrin, thank you very much for your concern! Yes, I am fine, I just don’t seem to find the time any more to look after my blogs ๐Ÿ™ I am working part time while the kids are at school, and I am also doing the books for my partners businesses from home which takes a lot of time. Then sports with the kids, catching up with friends occasionally ๐Ÿ˜‰ and taking the dogs for a walk… there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day! I do have planned to devote more time for it again, though. Even if I have to get up much earlier! Hopefully you will still be reading my blog when I start up again…

  10. Working from home is a great way for moms to earn an income and still be at home with the kids. Even just a part time position to earn a few extra dollars without having to place the kids in child care is great. As long as you have the discipline to do it, I say go for it!
